Starpoint Waterproof Button

We bought the original doorbell set so my brother can signal that he needs assistance. It’s worked very well, better than a hand bell. It’s fun that we can change sounds and volume. We decided to purchase the additional button for the back gate, where packages are delivered and friends enter. We have been especially pleased that we can program a different sound for each button. Depending on the sound, I know where I’m needed. It’s a great product, easy to use and reliable. The system makes every day life a little easier. Highly recommended.

Doorbell works fine, pairs with receivers purchased ('star' on face) but not with the previous receivers. Still, we can set back door chime different so we can tell which button was pushed. DON'T like the 433.9 MHz frequency on them; this bodes poorly for amateur radio interference in our locale. Rather have ONLY 315 MHz (garage door frequency; not a problem here).

I have a couple of the SadoTech sensors in my home. They work well and adjust to our lifestyle.

excellent The water proof" button. I dont think it will be good without being under a roof. Probably OK in a dry area of a shower for a care givers paging. I prefer the indoor button-transmitter as the button lights up the button is larger and is easier to push."

Happy Great waterproof, weather proof button for starpoint door bell. Its a shame its not included with the doorbell cause its quite expensive sold separately

use this add on to the set as alarms this remote was an add on to the set we got I carry this on me to alert family if I need help

Installed outside to replace the original unit which was water ... Installed outside to replace the original unit which was water repellent but not water proof. The water repellent unit would go off during hard rain showers.

This doorbell was working great for about 8 months but then it stopped working This doorbell was working great for about 8 months but then it stopped working. I thought it might need to be synced again but that didnt work. I decided to get a new battery thinking that would be the only other thing causing it not to work. Once I got the transmitter apart I noticed some corrosion on the battery and contact spring. I cleaned it off and put the new battery in and it works just fine. Im disappointed that this was the case, seems to me that if it is a waterproof unit there shouldnt have been any corrosion inside. Maybe this waterproof" unit isnt so waterproof after all."

CAN BE USED FOR MORE THEN A DOOR BELL you can use these for more then a door bell, we use these when my mother was sick with cancer and put one on a shoe string to hang around her neck and had one by the bed and the we have 3 chimes on long songs in homes on each side (I live on one side and my sister on the other ) and when she or my dad needs help in the night we could come running, my mother passed away and hospice or someone misplaced the remotes so I had to order 2 new ones for my dad cause he is getting slower since my mom is gone. thank you so much for this product it helped us give my parents quality of life and keep there independence

Great for elderly to contact in-home caregiver Bought to use as a call button in the bathroom for my elderly mother. allows for privacy but for her to call for assistance when needed. It sits on the sink countertop for when shes ready to exit the bathroom and since its Waterproof sink splashes from handwashing dont impact it. I would have liked a button that lights Well, there isn't much to this little baby. You can use two-sided tape (supplied) or a couple screws (also supplied) to attach it wherever you want it. It does exactly what it is designed to do, ring the bell. Instead of a penny-sized button, however, I would have liked a button that lights, especially for nighttime use.

I love it. Terrific wireless doorbell system.Im a little deaf, but I can hear the doorbell from any part of our (three story) house because we got several receivers and placed them on all three floors.

Great waterproof design. Nice doorbell with waterproofing. The waterproofing is the reason I bought it and I think that it is designed really well for this. I am not sure why the note area needs to be there, but it doesnt really interfere with use. Works well and easy to configure with the other units.

Easy to setup and works great! Wow! I had some doubts but I ordered this because I needed an expandable system for my three doors. I also ordered an additional waterproof transmitter to complete my setup. I am very impressed. Setup was extremely easy-we are talking three steps: 1. Choose your tone & volume 2. Press a button to put the receiver into pairing mode 3. Press the button on the transmitter. DONE! All three of my doors have different tones (but the tones are the same on both receivers, if that makes sense) so regardless if we are in the basement or upstairs, we know if someone is at the back door, side door or front door. Excellent product! Price was excellent, too. I hope it stands up to the Midwest winter!

Four Stars works fine but hard to program for the sound you want

Flexible, works as advertised and good service. We just installed doorbells and motion sensors and love them. I had a problem with wrong parts being shipped but the manufacturer was quite helpful and sent replacements right away. I have to say that while I like their responsiveness a lot, the product does not look robust and time will tell but I do not expect them to last long. However the system is very flexible and we love that both doors can ring both sound devices with different tones, making it easier to tell who is at which door and to hear it. The motion sensor tells us if our dog comes in or out. Its really to detect intruders but so far have had none of those and hopefully never well. We were afraid that it might detect the myriad of night wildlife we have but so far none of them have come to the door. If a raccoon wakes me up Ill be pissed! Update. After a few months of using these, we love them.

Tunes unrecognizable with weatherproof version I purchased the waterproofed transmitter and the receiver separately. This was for the front door which has no overhang or other protection from the weather. And living in Chicagoland, we get weather! Turns out that with the weatherproof transmitter, the melodies do not play properly. It adds a few notes near the beginning. For the simple tones, its mildly annoying--ding dong becomes ding dong ding dong. But any tune with more than 2 notes becomes unrecognizable. I only bought 1 transmitter and one receiver to try it out. I really need several of each for multiple doors and house floors. But given this flaw, Id never be able to find 4 different, recognizable tunes. Apparently this system is designed for businesses and apartments which usually have weather protected entrances, not single family homes. Its being returned due to this flaw which seems easily fixable.

Works great with related equipment Bought this to have a waterproof transmitter to go with SadoTech Model CXRi Portable Wireless Door Bell Kit, Over 50 Chime Tones, over 500 ft Range [1 Remote Button, 1 Plug-In Chime & 1 Battery Powered Chime. Works great with it. Make sure you follow the instructions about pairing it with the chimes. At first, I thought it wasnt working, but after pairing, everything is working fine. Customer service helped with this. Customer service is fast and helpful.

frustrated Don't know where to begin, so I will ramble. . My experience is frustration. I have 4 doors and wanted 3 receivers (chimers) to cover our split level home. I wanted at least 3 different chimes as two doors in back could be seen at same time. I wanted all receivers to play corresponding chime when any button was pushed. I looked at Sadotech YouTube site, it looked pretty easy to program. The guy did three receivers (chimers) and three non-waterproof transmitters (buttons), as well as a motion sensor in a short time. That's pretty much what I needed except for one more button. I had to program each one multiple times. I wanted two waterproof transmitters, ordered separately. When I program the waterproof button it cancels out the weatherproof button. So I did that a few times and gave up. Oh yeah the 50 some chimes, all but about 4 or 5 I would want to hear every time the doorbell rang. I would have loved to see (or hear) just a few short chimes that sounded different enough to discern which door was chiming. I had a hard time picking 3. Cycling through chimes to find one that works is bad, but when you want a different chime for each of the three or four different buttons. System is good, but this weather proof remote sucks System is good, but this weather proof remote sucks. When I mounted it with the included screws, you cannot get the cover to close. Spent less than five minutes mounting the other ringers, and over an hour struggling with trying to make this work. These are flat heads, but there still is not enough room to close the cover. Poor design on this one, not to mention you have to remove the motherboard from the unit to change the battery. Im going to mount it with the included double sticky tape, but dont think that will last. Im planning on replacing it with one of the regular wireless ringers that can actually be hard mounted to the door frame once the inevitable crash and burn when the tape fails, and keeping my fingers crossed that my eave is enough to keep the weather out for it to function long term.

I like the many different chimes and sounds I like the many different chimes and sounds, I can detect which area the visitor is coming from. I have put these outdoor weather proof bells on the fence so no one walks in without me knowing so I can put my dog in and the guest can enter,without fear of being hurt. My sister liked mine so much I bought her set for her house. love the versatility of the bells.

Works as advertised I needed a weatherproof doorbell and this fit the bill. So far it is working as advertised after a few rain events.

RIng your door bell in the rain One of the only true weather proof type transmitter I could find at the time. With that in mind, it is a reasonable good unit, appears to have a good O-ring seal. My installation site for the transmitter does not offer any protection from the weather elements. Living on the coast in Florida it has been subjected to some extremely wet stormy days. So far it has a flawless operation. Reducing one star was because it was poorly packaged and no instructions were included.

Give it a five star!! Arrived promptly. Excellent instructions- written and You Tube video. Really easy to program- no switches or pins to match.Give it a five star!!
