Love the battery operated receiver. It's so convenient and so portable.
Just drop it in your pocket while in the garden!
This product completed my precautions for a household with an Alzheimers Disease patient. The battery power allows me to venture out into the yard and garden without worrying about an escape" through a door at the other side of the house."
Works great with Crosspoint Wireless Doorbell system
We have been using the Crosspoint Expandable Wireless Doorbell (2 transmitters and 2 plugin receivers) along with one Starpoint battery receiver. This system easily solved the problem of our not being able to hear our existing, old doorbell. Since it is wireless, it was easy to install. Very happy with our selection of this product.
Bells are ringing wherever I am
I ordered this battery operated ringer to back-up" the two plug in the wall ones with my original set-up. With an air-exchange system and hair dryer going full blast in bathroom could not hear doorbell ring in nearest room. When I ordered the battery op one I was concerned that before its arrival there were two "tutorial" e-mails from Starpoint telling me how to activate it. I activated it by handing it to my son who set up the originals. He did not have to refer to instructions. As he sets them up he gets to choose the music. He plays banjo so my house is alive with the sound of Banjo On My Knee!I ordered original doorbells because I got tired of answering my door when a Home Advisor commercial comes on TV - it annoyingly ends with a doorbell ring identical to my house doorbell. oOw if my 40 year old houses door bell rings I ignore it. The TV one too."
It does what we need it to!!
easy programming, we love the product
We bought from Saudi Arabia. The item was found as reviewed. Smooth functioning, easy programming, we love the product.
Did not work
The add on would not sync with the primary unit. I had to return it.
Sado Tech is a great company!
I bought two of these. They go through batteries fairly quickly. I have to replace the batteries about every other month. The doorbells get rung maybe once during that time. I gave the highest rating because, over a year after I purchased these units, both of them quit working. I contacted Sado Tech and they replaced both units! I am impressed by Sado Tech.
The battery operated receivers were the only way I could ...
The battery operated receivers were the only way I could use a wireless doorbell. Sado Tech provided the product that most closely meant my needs. Their technical staff was very helpful in getting them set up. I would buy this product again.
They have kept in touch making sure I received the new one and was happy with it
When I received it, it did not work. I contacted Amazon and I had a shipping label and had it back in the mail that same day. I reordered a replacement that same day and received it in just a few days. The second one works as it should. (I had also contacted Sado Tech the day I received the broken one. They have kept in touch making sure I received the new one and was happy with it.)
The product is great but one of the bells i recieved didnt work. It would be great to have a battery life indicator on these bells as they draint the battery even if not used.
Excellent battery operated wireless doorbell
Needed an extra doorbell for our patio that doesnt require an electrical outlet. This one solved the problem and works well with our Starpoint system...
Very good system.
The only wireless alarm to nuy. I use it as an indoor pager for the care giver.
I love the fact the receiver can be battery-powered so it ...
I bought this remote transmitter/receiver for my grandparents so they can alert their caregivers should anything happen. I love the fact the receiver can be battery-powered so it does NOT need to plugged into the wall. The batteries are easy to replace (just flip open a lid, for both the receiver and transmitter) and are not some small button cell batteries. A LOT of tunes to choose from for notification, though most of them seem to be melodies/folk songs and I wish there were more simple alarms/beeps/notification ring tones, but the first simple doorbell tone works just as well for my purpose. So far the batteries are lasting for about a month and have not required replacements yet! The range is very good as well; the bell can be rung from clear across the house with about 8 walls in between them!
Poor distance covered
Poor distance covered. Chime would work one or two times then stop working. Each time would have to repair and go through the same process.
No Moref Old Smoky
I bought this because the old wired doorbell apparently shorted and started smoking. Disconnected it but left it in place for aesthetic reasons. Besides, I didn??t like smoke. The bell tones (there are a bunch of different ones to choose from) are shorter and sound much better than the cheaper version. I keep it on my desk on the loft in our home and can hear it even without my hearing aids.I had difficulty inserting the three AAA batteries (not supplied) because I could not pry open the battery cover with my fingernails. I had to use a tiny screwdriver (the kind used on eyeglasses) to open it, but in so doing it damaged the little piece used to hold the cover in place. It still works without the cover (which does not stay on), so I Scotch taped it into place. I deducted one star for that. And don??t let me forget to mention that?? its expandable. If I want a button on the back door, it??s no problem. I can even add a motion sensor to this system, which is good when a delivery man just puts packages on the doorstep without ringing the bell..
When it works, its great, but it doesnt always work which is really annoying to not only me and my co-workers, but to our FedEx and UPS drivers, Yes, weve changed the batteries, and no were not too far away.
easy to program and use
easy to program and use, convenient when moving about the house or the yard. always know when someone is at the door now. love that the volume is adjustable also

do not waste your money on this item. range of sensor is way short of advertised distance.
Worked great, easy to install, directions were clear

May sound funny, but I was excited about this doorbell. I mean cmon, its a DOORBELL! But, I am very happy with this product. Easy setup, and its expandable. I bought an additional battery-powered receiver that I use as a mobile device, for when Im out in my workshop or yard somewhere. 52 tones you can change for seasons or events. Great product so far.
All of the other pieces seem to be working fine.
Battery operated doorbell went haywire in less than a year. All of the other pieces seem to be working fine.
Great product Sado Tech!
A great product.
I am very satisfied with this product. The expandable feature is great. I am able to plug it into any outlet in the house with a good signal. We have one on the back lanai which allows us to hear the doorbell from the backyard.
Using out in backyard.
Works great out in the backyard!
WORKS GREAT! BUT ... MAKE SURE ALL UNITS HAVE THE TINY STAR!
Make sure you buy the units with the little star on top! Unless all the units have that little star on top, you cant expand buttons or chimes onto your original unit. Plus the instructions are a little unclear. All these companies should start putting very clear and precise videos on YouTube. A well done video speaks a thousand words ... Especially if youre trying to sell to a multi-lingual audience!
Goes off constantly and cant stop it . Will not buy this brand again. Amazon made it right though
Digital Tones from the 1990s
Revision 10-Dec2015:The interior chime and the external buttons seem to drain batteries at an alarming rate. Unless children are ringing my doorbell daily while Im out, I think I heard the chime ring a dozen times before the batteries died. (In the interest of complete disclosure, the volume is turned up to be heard both up and downstairs, but still... Not what I expect.). Maybe I would not be so disappointed if I had paid the price listed today but I paid rather more. The sound is tinny and very plainly electronic - possibly sounding more artificially produced than the rings of the early cell phones. But to its credit, there are plenty of sound options, from the traditional ding-dong and the eight note fancy" ding-dong in the old sitcoms to the William Tell Overture (quite a lot to the sampling as I recall) and numerous Christmas tunes. (If you have four doors I think each could be assigned a different holiday tune.)Positioned on my second floor the signal still arrives from both the front and back doors. (NOTE: My house does not have a very large footprint so as the crow flies it is easily within the distance limitations BUT there are plenty of old plaster walls between.)The highest volume setting can be heard one floor up and down but I doubt I would hear it that far away over a hairdryer or vacuum cleaner. I cannot hear it well in the basement either but there is a fair amount of white noise in the background down there between the blower on the HVAC and the washer/dryer/dehumidifier trio."

Had some problems and returned unit.
I believe this is probably a great item for a unique location; however, I could not program the long range driveway alert in conjunction with the long range doorbell. Doorbell is also a Sado Starpoint expandable unit which I have programmed with no problem. One of the buttons. Also did not function. Driveway alert was returned, and I received a full refund with no problem.
It works like a charm.
Excellent product and serious seller. Thank you.

I like it. I dont love it.
Ive had this setup in my house now for over a week. I have two wireless buttons hooked up to it, and overall, I like it. I dont love it, but I like it. My biggest issue is that the bell seems to sleep" sometimes and require multiple pushes from the buttons to "wake it up". Other than that it seems to work as expected."
